Speaking about The Temple Curtain

On April 14th, Palm Sunday, I will be speaking about my book, The Temple Curtain, at The Center (12700 Southwest Highway, Palos Park, IL.)
I will explain what motivated me to write my book with children grades 3-8 in mind.
After I wrote my first chapter, I realized that I needed to do a lot of research, especially about the activities of Priests and Levites in the Jerusalem temple.
I will share some of the surprising things I learned in the process of my research, read some of my favorite short sections of the book, and  answer questions about the material.
All are welcome to come to this free presentation. Call to register (708-361-3650).

The Temple Curtain tears from top to bottom when Jesus dies.

This curtain separated the Holy Place, where incense sacrifices were offered daily, from  the Holy of Holies. The Ark of the Covenant was there until the first temple (Solomon's temple) was destroyed. In spite of that, it was still considered the place where God was present.
At the moment of Jesus' death, the temple was torn in half. This is mentioned briefly in Matthew, Mark, and Luke. It was what prompted me to write The Temple Curtain which is an excellent book to read at this time of year. So I have a 40% off sale now on this website.
