One creative school principal gave a copy of the book to each of her creative teachers in Kindergarten through 8th grade. In the weeks of Lent leading up to Good Friday, the teachers read and discussed the book with the students in ways appropriate for their grade.
On Good Friday, the whole day was spent in special activities. The principal said the Kids' Activities were like a "lesson plan." During the day, the classes rotated around to different classrooms where they enjoyed activities related to The Temple Curtain which were planned by the teachers and principal.
The culmination was when children, teachers, and parents came into the darkened auditorium where the tearing of the temple curtain was recreated. The principal noticed that some children, teachers, and parents had tears in their eyes. It was a very moving experience because they knew from the book what that torn curtain means for them!
